Sustainability in film production is more important than ever, as the industry recognizes its impact on the environment. Applying green practices – such as reducing waste, using renewable energy, and promoting sustainable set designhelps minimize carbon footprints while setting an example for other industries. Film campaigns play a crucial role in spreading awareness, using storytelling to inspire change and encourage audiences to adopt eco-friendly habits.
Committed to sustainability postulates in our work, we strive to integrate environmentally responsible solutions into every stage of both filmmaking and sales, ensuring that creativity and sustainability go hand in hand.
SOUL FOOD has taken an active role in advancing sustainability by advising and consulting production companies, film festivals, exhibitors, and VoD platforms on green production and management, together with support in project proposal writing and execution.
After several years of dedicated work in this field, we received our first Green Film certification for Season 3 of the Croatian documentary series Back to Land (Dulum zemlje), produced by Wolfgang & Dolly in collaboration with the Croatian National Television (HRT) in 2024. Currently in the process of certifying Season 4 of the series, we continue our commitment to integrating sustainability into every stage of filmmaking.
